In the lower left corner of the painting is a close-up of the tip of a person’s nose, with the pores clearly visible. Immediately behind it, among the chrome-plated pipes, glimpses of an ear and a face alternate as they extend toward the right edge of the painting. The skin is depicted in precise detail, with its mottled texture and visible blood vessels.
