9.3.2026 The Sara Hildén Art Museum has published a significant publication on the art of Pentti Kaskipuro, one of Finland's most renowned graphic artists on the international stage. This comprehensive reference work opens up new perspectives on Kaskipuro's oeuvre.

5.1.2026 Following renovations, the museum will open on January 10 with an exhibition by the graphic artist known as the master of light and shadow.

5.11.2025 The first exhibition of the year will provide a comprehensive overview of the work of Pentti Kaskipuro, a graphic art master and artist represented in the Sara Hildén Foundation's collection. In the summer, a group exhibition called ‘Freshly Painted’, showcasing the work of young artists.

10.4.2025 Opening on 12 June, the exhibition From the Beginning sheds light on the development, artists and themes of Finnish art from the early 20th century to the present day through the Sara Hildén Foundation's collection.

7.2.2025 The exhibition, which opens at the Sara Hildén Art Museum on 8 February, presents important stages and turning points in Heikki Marila's oeuvre over the past thirty years. It includes new and previously unseen works.

11.10.2024 Maaria Wirkkala's exhibition, which opens on 12 October, is an overview of the artist's career spanning more than 40 years. The exhibition includes variations of old works as well as new works made especially for the exhibition.

16.5.2024 Jean-Michel Othoniel (b. 1964, Saint-Étienne) is one of France's best-known contemporary artists. This summer, the Sara Hildén Art Museum will host his solo exhibition for the first time in the Scandinavia.

16.2.2024 The exhibition Red Birds on Green Tree - Works from the international collection of the Sara Hildén Foundation celebrates the Sara Hildén Art museum's 45th anniversary by presenting key artists and works from the Sara Hildén Foundation's international collection from the early 20th century to the present day.

17.1.2024 The construction of a new building for the Sara Hildén Art Museum in the Finlayson area has been abandoned. The City of Tampere, the Sara Hildén Foundation and Mutual Pension Insurance Company Varma have jointly stated that the proposed building site in the centre of Tampere does not serve the museum's needs for development. The museum will continue to operate in its current premises. 

4.12.2023 From June 8 2024, the Sara Hildén Art Museum will be presenting the latest work by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, including glass artworks, metal artworks and paintings.

1.12.2023 The exhibition The Red Birds of the Green Tree - Works from the Sara Hildén Foundation Collection, which opens on 17 February 2024, presents key artists and works from the Foundation's foreign collection from the early 20th century to the present day: paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints.

21.8.2023 Lee Bul is one of South Korea’s most internationally acclaimed artists. Her forthcoming exhibition at the Sara Hilden Art Museum will be the first extensive showing of her work ever seen in Finland.
